I don’t know how many of you celebrate St. Nikolai, but let me tell you, it’s great. I mean, THE GIFTS people. THE GIFTS. Of course it’s not all about the gifts, but THE GIFTS this year. My mom got me new make-up brushes, for I didn’t have any before. I mean, I do have those low-price-not-really-any-good brushes, but I’ve read that good make-up brushes really make a difference and what I’ve read is true.

The ones I got are the Jessup 10 piece brush set. As the name tells you, 10 brushes come in the packet. You get the stipple brush, pointed foundation brush, buffing brush, bronzer brush, blush brush ( don’t you just love how that sounds? Blush brush ), all over powder base brush, cream eyeshadow brush, blending brush, outer corner brush and the crease brush. They’re available in different colours, too. These brushes are the alternative to the Sigma brushes for those who can not afford those because God knows how expensive those are.

The face brushes are near identical to the Sigma Kabuki face set and the eye brushes are similar to the synthetic precision set.
I love how the material of the  bristles don’t feel harsh on the skin at all. They did come with a strong chemical scent, but it goes away with time. The brushes are also very big and fluffy, therefore not good for detailed looks, but right now, I don’t really need that.
If you want to go professional you’ll have to purchase the real deal, but for someone who doesn’t wear makeup 365 days a year and can’t afford all those expensive brushes, this is the perfect deal.
I mean, come on. How can you not fall in love with these? They’re pink and sooo pretty!

If you like them, you can purchase them at or at Amazon.
